DCS, Inc. is a full-service, fee-based source of consulting
services dedicated to the fair and equitable review of ERISA
and private disability claims. As an experienced and licensed
hands on consultant, Linda provides insureds with unique
“inside” perspectives of successful management of disability
claims.As a Licensed Maine Life & Health Consultant Linda
also “provides information relative to coverage, rights, or
interests under insurance contracts, or relative to the
retention, exchange, surrender, exercise
of rights, or other disposition of insurance or
annuity contracts.”
DCS also partners with insureds in providing application
assistance for Social Security Disability Income (SSDI) and
Supplemental Security Income (SSI).
Disability Income Claims Management for Professionals
DCS offers the following consulting and claim management
services to executives, physicians, dentists, and other
professionals with Individual Disability Income policies:
- Fee-based verbal and written own occupation policy
audits conducted by an insurance-trained contract
specialist Policy audits provide each professional with a
complete and unique explanation of benefits under the
terms of his/her own occupation policy with understanding.
- Management of employment issues relative to salary
continuation, severance contracts, and voluntary
terminations.
- Consulting preparation of requests for insurance
field representative visits, independent medical
evaluations and surveillance.
- Assistance with the completion of initial
disability forms including assistance with
occupational and financial issues relative to the
claims of professionals and/or self-employed
physicians, dentists, and corporate executives.
- Consulting services provided to physicians and
physician offices upon request to ensure accuracy
and intent of medical restrictions and limitations
reported to the insurance company.
- Assistance with self-employment issues such as
business overhead expense benefits, payment of
residual disability, business dissolutions,
disability key-person coverage, partnership
distributions and business buy-out contracts.
- Consulting services and/or attorney
referrals provided for claim terminations and/or
appeal reconsiderations.
EMPLOYER-SPONSORED GROUP ERISA ASSISTANCE AND
APPEALS
DSC also offers extensive administrative and
case file management services for those with
employer-sponsored group ERISA policies:
- Policy audits including Summary Plan
Descriptions, employer-provided Benefit Plans,
eligibility reviews, and pre-existing
condition counseling.
- Consulting assistance provided for
employment issues such as self-insured STD/LTD
claims with third-party administrators, Family
Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Americans with
Disabilities Act (ADA), salary continuation,
employment and/or benefit terminations.
- Initial and on-going assistance with the
completion of disability forms and other
communications to and from your insurer.
- Partnership with all treating
physicians to include on-going and regular
contact, administrative services, and
management of physician medical
communications and the providing of
patient records.

including changes of address, medical
status work accommodations, residual
disability, and rehabilitation
services including return to work
plans.
- Consulting services provided for
independent medical evaluations, any
occupation investigations,
surveillance, field representative
visits, internal medical reviews.

to insureds authored by Linda Nee.
Provides the claimant with
important information concerning
the claims process.
- Referrals to qualified and
experienced ERISA attorneys as
appropriate and when needed or
requested.
- Management assistance of
return to work status,
employer work accommodations,
sick leave, salary
continuation, and accuracy of
residual and/or part-time
earnings.
- Management of ERISA
appeals, supplementation of
the Administrative Record,
and consultative services
concerning the ERISA appeal

SOCIAL SECURITY
DISABILITY INCOME ADVOCACY (SSDI
